The year of Kanotoi is estimated to be 651, since it has been elucidated that the kanji character \"評\" in the inscription is a character that began to be used during the period from the Taika (645 – 650) to Taiho (701 – 704) eras. According to the inscription, the votive offering for the creation of the image was made on the very day when Kasanokorinokimi died. It is interesting to know that both the offering and the inscription were made within a day of someone's death.\nThe tenne (a long cloth) sticks out like a fin and the image displays bilateral symmetry. While these characteristics seem to reflect the Tori style, this image also shows some features beyond the Tori style, such as mild facial features where the eyebrows and eyes are represented by elevation changes, the hanging hair bound at the ends without curls and the fin-like tenne, the ends of which warp outward. This is the oldest existing Kannon image with an avatar in the crown and with a known year of creation.    \nCurrently, the area from the body to the lotus core is separated from the area below the pedestal with down-turned petals (it is very likely that they were cast separately). The bottom of the lotus core is inserted into a round hole created on the down-turned petals to join them together. The body is hollowed out up to the bottom of the neck. An iron core remains in the hollow portion, the end of which appears inside the lotus core (the cross-section is square). There is a big crossbeam inside the lotus core, on which some inner mold clay remains. Although mold cavities can be found all over the body, there are few below the pedestal with down-turned petals. Gold plating remains over almost the entire surface except the inside of the crown and the hair (some remains in the engraved lines of the inscription). For coloring, lapis lazuli remains on the hair, black (sumi?) remains on the outline of the eyes, eyeballs and mustache and a slight amount of vermillion (or Bengala) can be seen on the 台脚的顶板上有铭文，可知“为纪念辛亥年七月十日辞世之笠评君，遗孤及伯父二人于当日发愿造像”事宜。由于明确了铭文中的“评”字为大化(645～650)至大宝(701～704)年间使用的字，因此将铭文中的“辛亥年”推定为白雉2年(651年)。另外从铭文内容可知，本像是在笠评君去世当天便发愿而造，且铭文也记载于同一天，这一点颇耐人寻味。\n菩萨立像的天衣上有鳍状翻边，整体形状为左右对称，可以说吸收了止利派造像的风格，但本像眉眼凹凸、表情祥和、前端束起的顺直垂发、天衣鳍状翻边前端向后翻翘等特点可见其比止利派造型更进一步。另外，作为宝冠上带有化佛的观音像，本像是日本最早且年代清晰的作品。\n从本体到莲肉部分、以及台座反花以下现在为各自分开（很可能是分别铸造），反花顶面设有圆孔，本体部的莲肉下端插入孔中并在内部扩展固定。颈部下缘以下的本体部分为内部中空，此中空部分中留有铁芯，其下端从莲肉内部露出(断面为方形)。莲肉内部有横穿左右的较大毛边，其上方有模土残存。本体部分上到处可见铸造气孔，但台座反花以下却几乎未见。除了宝冠内侧及后头部之外，本像几乎整体残留有镀金（铭文的刻线内也可见镀金）。头发色彩为群青，眼部轮廓、眼珠及髭须为黑色（可能是墨），嘴唇为朱色(也可能是铁丹)。\n\n〔铭记〕(台座台脚部分)\n辛亥年七月十日记笠评君名左（或“大”）古臣辛丑日崩去辰時故儿在布奈太利古臣又伯在□古臣二人乞愿\n","@language":"zh"},{"@value":"  대좌 다리의 천판부에 명문이 있어「신해년 7월 10일에 붕거한 입평군(笠評君)을 위해, 그 날 남은 자녀와 백부 둘이서 조상(造像)을 발원했다」는 점을 알 수 있다. 「신해년」에 대해서는 명문 중의 「평(評)」이 다이카(645~650)에서 다이호(701~704)시대에 사용된 문자임이 밝혀져, 하쿠치 2년(651)으로 추정할 수 있다. 또한 명문의 내용을 통해 본 상은 입평군의 사망 당일에 조상이 발원되었으며, 그 날 안에 명문까지 기록한 흥미로운 상황도 엿볼 수 있다.\n  천의는 물고기의 지느러미 같은 모양을 하고 전체적으로 좌우대칭을 이루는 것 등은 도리파(止利派)의 흐름을 따르는 것이라 할 수 있지만, 눈썹과 눈을 면과 면의 높이 차로 표현한 온화한 얼굴, 늘어뜨린 머리의 끝을 묶고 고사리 모양으로 말지 않은 것, 지느러미처럼 나온 천의의 각 끝이 뒤쪽으로 휘어진 점 등 도리파의 조형에서 한발 벗어난 감각도 엿보인다. 또한 본 상은 보관에 화불이 표현된 관음상으로서 연대가 명확한 일본 최고(最古)의 작품이기도 하다.\n  본체에서 연밥까지와 대좌 복련 이하는 현재 각각 떨어져 있으며(따로 주조했을 가능성이 높음) 복련 윗면에 낸 원형 구멍에 본체의 연밥 하단을 삽입하고 내부에서 삽입된 부분을 벌려서 고정시켰다. 본체는 목 아래쪽 까지 내부가 비어있다. 이 부분에는 철심이 남아있으며, 그 아래쪽이 연밥 내부에서 살짝 보인다(단면은 방형). 연밥 내부에는 좌우로 커다랗게 튀어나온 부분이 있으며 그 위쪽에 내형토가 남아있다. 기포는 본체에서 전체적으로 발견되지만 대좌 복련 이하 부분에는 거의 없다. 보관의 뒷면과 두발을 제외한 거의 전면에 도금이 남아있으며(명문의 각선 안에도 남아있음), 두발을 군청색, 눈의 윤곽과 눈동자, 콧수염을 흑색(혹은 먹), 입술에 약간 주홍색(혹은 벵갈라)을 채색하였다.\n\n[명기] (대좌 다리부분)\n신해년칠월칠일기입평군명좌(혹은
