The shape of the seal surface is square rimmed with a thin belt, part of which is missing. The four letters of \"ShidaXX Shiin (萪□私印)\" are carved on the seal surface in two lines with two letters each. The second letter may be \"土\" or \"出,\" but it is not clear. The knob is in the shape of a cockscomb with a hole.  \nIn the ancient times, Nasuno was called \"Kano (狩野).\" In the Wamyoruijusho (a dictionary created in the Heian period), there is a mention of \"Kanogo (狩野郷),\" which is also written as \"Kano (科野).\" Since the Chinese reading of the letter \"萪\" on the seal is \"Ka,\" the letters \"萪□\" may be related to Kano (科野) and it can be said that this was a personal seal of the clan governing this area.
