Koyagire is the oldest existing copy of Kokin Wakashu and famous as a part of high quality ancient writing. This copy of Kokin Wakashu was transcribed by three persons, and this piece seems to be written by the third person. The brushwork of this piece forms a bright, flowing style while making full use of sharp lines, suggesting that this writer must be the youngest among the three. This person also wrote volume one and two of Genryaku Kohon Manyoshu, a national treasure (possessed by Tokyo National Museum), and Decchobon Wakanroeishu (possessed by the Museum of the Imperial Collections, Imperial Household Agency).
