Found at Nakoso, Koyaguchi-cho, on the north bank of the Kinokawa River in Wakayama Prefecture, this stone container is from a Nara-period cremation tomb. A tricolor-glazed cinerary urn has been kept inside. This container is made of soft talc stone, with space hollowed out for the urn. This was also a common burial style for cremation tombs in Silla (57B.C.-668A.D.), Korea.
